On January 31, 2011 at 8:00 o’clock in the morning, PCSUPT ARTEMIO GONZALES HICBAN, PESE, Regional Director, PRO MIMAROPA, spearheaded the one (1) day activity regarding 20th PNP Foundation Day Celebration coinciding the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony with Hon Eduardo Chan Firmalo, M.D., Governor, Province of Romblon as Guest of Honor and Speaker held at Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City. The activity was attended by members of the Command Group and Directorial Staff, Provincial Director of Mindoro Oriental PPO, Chiefs, Regional Support Units, PCOs, PNCOs and NUP personnel of Regional Headquarters, PRO MIMAROPA and other guests.
It was started with an invocation lead by PSUPT MANUEL R DEUS, Regional Chaplain. Followed by the mass singing of the Philippine National Anthem. Then Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas and Police Officer’s Pledge. Afterwhich, PSSUPT ABELLARDO F RELLORA, Chief, Regional Directorial Staff introduced the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
Hon Eduardo C Firmalo, M.D. expressed his gratitude for the privileged of being invited as Guest of Honor and Speaker. His message focused on the importance of existence of the Philippine National Police in our country. He also commended the dedication of the Police Officers in the maintenance of peace and order, apprehension of law violators, prevention of crime and the protection of lives and properties of the citizenry. Further, he encouraged Police Officers to be vigilant in some crimes commonly committed in island provinces like illegal fishing, illegal logging and illegal mining. Most importantly, he suggested Police Officers to respect and value Human Rights of every person.
