Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City- PRO MIMAROPA is not only focusing on its fight against illegal drugs but also in the apprehension of the Wanted Person through the intensified implementation of LOI Manhunt Charlie (Arrest of Most Wanted/Wanted Persons).
On the first week of December this year, nine (9) Wanted persons were arrested including two (2) Most Wanted Persons namely: Tomas Pineda Rogelio and Romel Manilay Fajilagutan both listed as Rank Number 3 in the List of the Top Most Wanted Person, Municipal Level.
The suspect Tomas Pineda Rogelio 64 years old, married, farmer and resident of Sitio Malinao, Barangay San Antonio, Sta. Cruz Marinduque was arrested by the joint Personnel of Sta.Cruz Municipal Police Station and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group of Marinduque on December 3, 2016 by the virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge Emmanuel Recalde of RTC Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 38, Boac Marinduque for the crime of rape and Violation of Republic Act 7610. Rogelio sexually abused several times the 12 year old victim from 2010 to 2013.
The second Most Wanted person arrested was identified as Romel Manilay Fajilagutan, 35 years old, single, farmer and resident of Barangay Linawan, San Andres Romblon. He was arrested by the joint personnel of 3rd Manuever Platoon, Mindoro Oriental Provincial Public Safety Company and San Andres Municipal Police Station by the virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge Francisco Fanlo Jr. of Regional Trial Court, Branch 82, Odiongan Romblon dated January 8, 2004 for the crime of Murder.
Further, in reinvigorating the PNP’s approach to Double Barrel Alpha, an extension and expansion of Project Double Barrel, PRO MIMAROPA increase its number of surrenderers from 19,258 on the 23rd week of the implementation of Oplan Double Barrel to 19, 405 as of December 8, 2016. Out of that number, seventeen thousand six hundred eighty-seven (17,687) are users and one thousand seven hundred eighteen (1, 718) are pushers. Further, four hundred fifty four (454) drug personalities were arrested during police operations such as service of Search Warrant, Buy-Bust and Police Response while the arrested High Value Target increased from eleven (11) to twelve (12) personalities.
On November 14, 2016, Jeffrey Perol Reyes alias “Japoy”, 27 years old, married, US Citizen and listed as Rank number 5 in the list of High Value Target (HVT) of San Jose MPS was arrested by the joint personnel of San Jose MPS, PDEA and Occidental Mindoro Focus Team during the buy-bust operation on November 14, 2016 in his residence together with Alvin Reyes Mendero, 43 years old, single, jobless and resident of Purok Bagong Silang, Barangay Caminawit, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro. Confiscated from his possession were one (1) sachet of white crystalline substance believed to be Methamphetamine Hydrochloride otherwise known as shabu and one (1) five hundred peso bill used as marked money.
