Police Chief Superintendent Tomas Colet Apolinario, Jr took the helm of Police Regional Office MIMAROPA as the 13th Regional Director on September 11, 2018. During his first 30 days, a total of five hundred seventy-one (571) personalities were arrested/accosted focusing on the Chief, PNP’s current thrust.

 

On intensified campaign against illegal drugs, from September 11 to October 11, 2018, Police Regional Office MIMAROPA has arrested fifty-five (55) drug personalities out of fifty (50) operations conducted. Of the 55, 3 were listed as High Value Target (HVT) and 44 were newly identified drug personalities while one (1) died during police operations. The suspect was identified as Jeffrey Orbiso alias “Diva”, newly identified drug personality of Puerto Princesa City. The suspect drew his caliber 38 revolver upon sensing that he was transacting with policemen and shot the operatives during the buy-bust operation. Recovered from his possession were one (1) caliber 38 revolver,    two (2) sachets of Shabu worth Php 30, 500.00 and Php 1, 200.00 used as buy-bust money.

 

On anti- criminality campaign,  there is  a remarkable decrease of 29 or  20% index crime rate from 146 recorded of the same period  last year to 117, this year and an increase of 2.74% in Crime Solution Efficiency Rating from 64.95% to 66.73%.

 

On the arrest of wanted and most wanted persons, one hundred sixty-eight (168) were arrested. Thirteen (13) were listed as Most Wanted Persons.  The thirteen (13) MWPs arrested were identified as follows:

 

Occidental Mindoro

1.Crisanto Lagas Gonzales ranked nr 1 Provincial Level for the crime of Acts of Lasciviousness;

 

2. Raymark Cajudo Labrador ranked nr 9 Municipal Level, Municipality of Lubang for violation of municipal ordinance.

 

Oriental Mindoro

1.Rodante Galindez Lontoc ranked nr 1 City Level, Calapan City for the crime of Murder

2. Williard Reanzares Rivas ranked nr 8, Provincial level for the crime of Rape in relation to RA 9262

 

3. Francisco Binay Patulot ranked nr  2 Municipal Level, Puerto Galera for the crime of Rape

 

Marinduque

1.Romeo Saplan Palaming ranked nr 10 Municpal Level, Sta. Cruz for the crime of Violation of RA  9262

 

2. Tom Jones Martizan Mallari ranked nr 5 Municipal Level, Boac for the crime of Violation 9287

 

3.Analyn Tan Basco ranked nr 3 Provincial Level for the crime of RA 9165

 

 

Romblon

1.Vicente Cortez ranked nr 8 Municipal Level, Municipality of San Andrez for the crime of Frustrated Murder

Palawan

1. Oliver Lucena Pabero ranked nr 10 Municipal Level, Busuanga for the crime of Direct Assault

 

On Special Laws, ninety-eight (98) personalities were arrested on illegal gambling out of the forty-five (45) operations conducted  and filing of thirty-two (32) cases in court while an amount of twenty-five thousand six hundred eight-two pesos (Php 25,682.00)  were confiscated. On illegal fishing, there were fifty-seven (57) personalities were arrested out of eight (8) operations conducted. Confiscated were twelve (12) motorbancas, two (2) compressors, seven (7) pieces of blasting caps, thirty-three (33) kgs of assorted fishes and other fishing paraphernalia.  On illegal logging,  there were twenty-seven (27) personalities were arrested out of the  thirty (30) operations conducted while confiscated items were  7,085.40 board feet sawn lumber, 16 pieces  assorted lumber, 12 pieces  assorted logs with estimated market value  amounting to Php 275,775.38 , 272 sacks of charcoal and 1 vehicle.

 

On loose firearms, nine (9) personalities were arrested out of eight (8) operations conducted. Confiscated were eight (8) assorted firearms and one (10 hand grenade.

On intensified enforcement of laws and local ordinances, one hundred fifty-seven (157) personalities were accosted and all went home after paying their penalties corresponding to their offenses.

 

On PNP Campaign Plan “Clean Riders,” 36, 179 operations were conducted.  4,421 were through checkpoints, 5 through the implementation of search warrants, 116 through visitorial powers and 31, 637 operations in other forms.  Further, there were 521 registered motorcycles were accounted for and 300 clean rider stickers  were distributed  to oriental Mindoro while there were 160 motorcycles with issued clean rider  sticker  were verified.

 

PCSUPT APOLINARIO, JR congratulated the men and women of Police Regional Office MIMAROPA for their concerted efforts on this endeavor of reducing the occurrence of crimes in the region.  He further reiterated his intention and determination of steering PRO MIMAROPA towards the pursuit of peace and tranquility in the region.
