Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City- In response to the growing crisis of plastic pollution specifically in the oceans, the men and women of PRO MIMAROPA being known of its name “The Eco-Road Warriors” under the stewardship of PCSUPT MELITO M MABILIN, Regional Director actively took part in a local coastal clean- up drive along with the volunteers from the Guardians Brotherhood Incorporated (GBI), Calapan Chapter, Free and Accepted Masons (FAAM), TV NET, Shell Depot, Barangay Officials and its Peace-Keeping Action Teams (BPATS) during the 115th Death Anniversary Celebration of Dr. Jose Rizal along the coastal areas of Barangay Lazareto, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.

The said activity aims to address the environmental issues, pollution prevention and promote public awareness about the plastic as one of the marine debris which comes from land   via our storm water system, rivers and streams and is then transported out to sea which causes harm to ecosystems and wildlife.

PSUPT JUAN V AÑONUEVO, Chief, Regional Logistic and Research Development Division supervised the said activity.
