Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City – Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office arrested one (1) individual with one (1) at-large during a drug buybust operation in Barangay Camansihan, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro on January 3, 2024 at around 2:00 PM.

Police report revealed that personnel of Calapan City Police Station together with Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit, Technical Support Company and 404th B MC under RMFB arrested alias “Opang”, 43, after allegedly selling one (1) piece of a heat sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected ‘shabu’ in exchange for Php500 to an undercover police officer during a drug buybust operation, while a certain alias “Rexel” remains at-large.

Confiscated from the suspect’s possession were approximately 0.90grams of suspected ‘shabu’ worth Php6,120.00, the Php500 buybust money, and other drug paraphernalia.

“Opang” is currently in police custody pending the filing of charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
