Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City – Police Regional Office MIMAROPA Regional Director Police Brigadier General JOEL B DORIA lauded the successful joint anti-illegal drug operation that led to the arrest of a drug suspect with more than Php100,000 worth of illegal drugs on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at around 8:37 PM.
Police report revealed that alias “Pips”, 34, was arrested after allegedly selling one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected “shabu”, weighing MOL 5 grams and worth Php1,000, to a police poseur-buyer in a joint anti-illegal drugs buy bust operation by the Police Drug Enforcement Group-Special Operation Unit 4B together with Gloria Municipal Police Station, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 4B, and Oriental Mindoro PPO Provincial Drug Enforcement Uni in Brgy. Maligaya, Gloria, of the said province.
Confiscated from the suspect’s possession were approximately 15 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of Php102,000.00, along with the buy-bust money and related paraphernalia.
“Pips” is currently in police custody pending the filing of charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
“I commend the efforts of our operatives in this successful operation. This only proves our unceasing drive to ending the illegal drug problems in the region,” said PBGEN DORIA.
“This remarkable success serves as a clear message to those involved in illegal drug activities that we will not tolerate their actions and will relentlessly pursue them,” he added.
