Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City – Police arrested two (2) individuals during an anti-illegal gambling operation in Sitio Turbong, Brgy. Marangas, Bataraza, Palawan on July 2, 2023 at around 1:00 PM.

Police report revealed that Jiriel Casi Dauno, 41,and Apolinario Panganiban Sarahina, 56, were arrested during an operation launched by the personnel of Bataraza Municipal Police Station.

The operation stemmed from the tip of a confidential informant that there was an ongoing illegal cockfighting, commonly known as “tampur” in the said locality.

Confiscated from the suspects were four (4) heads of fighting cock, bet money amounting to Php900.00, and other paraphernalia.

Arrested suspects are now under police custody pending the filing of charges of violation of Presidential Decree No. 1602.
