Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – The Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, under the leadership of PBGEN ROGER L QUESADA, arrested two most wanted individuals and nine others in separate law enforcement operations conducted throughout the region on February 12, 2024.
Police reports revealed the two most wanted persons as alias “John Marvin” aged 21, and alias “Joriel” aged 21.
“John Marvin”, ranked as the Palawan’s second most wanted, was arrested in Brgy. Pangobilian, Brooke’s Point, Palawan, by joint elements of Brooke’s Point Municipal Police Station, Palawan PPO 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, Provincial Intelligence Unit, Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Unit, CIT Palawan RID 4B, SOU Maritime Group Balabac MSBC and Balabac MPS, based on an arrest warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 165 in Brooke’s Point, Palawan for the violation of Qualified Statutory Rape by Carnal Knowledge, Acts of Lasciviousness Under Article 366 of the RPC in relation to Section 5(B) of RA No. 7610, as amended, and Statutory Rape Under Art. 266-A (1) (D) in relation to Art. 266-B of RPC, as amended by Section 2 of RA 8353.
“Joriel”, listed as the tenth most wanted in Makati City, was apprehended in Brgy. Guinobatan, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro, by the elements of Calapan City Police Station and Provincial Highway Patrol Team Oriental Mindoro, based on an arrest warrant from the Metropolitan Trial Court, Branch 127 in Makati City, for failure to appear in court on the scheduled hearing, for violation of Batas Pambansa Blg.22 (13 counts), with recommended bail amounting to PhP6,000.00 each.
Additionally, the nine other wanted persons were apprehended, namely: alias “Jay-ar” (30), for the crime of Robbery; alias “Samuel” (38), for violation of Section 77 of P.D. 705; alias “Jurada” (44), for Malicious Mischief under Art. 329 par. 3 of the RPC as amended by Sec. 88 of RA 10951 and Slight Physical Injuries under Art. 266 par.1 of the RPC as amended by Sec.61 of RA 10951 (2 counts); alias “Eugenio” (59), for Slight Physical Injuries; alias “Rolando” (28), for Attempted Theft; alias “Carmen” (52), for Estafa; alias “Dionesio” (61), for violation of RA 9262; alias “Jay-ar” (32), for Acts of Lasciviousness under Art. 335 of the revised penal code, in relation to sec 5 (B) of RA 7610; and alias “Bobby” (50), for Qualified Trespass to Dwelling.
The arrested individuals are currently in police custody and will be turned over to the appropriate courts.
