Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, under the leadership of PBGEN SIDNEY SULTAN HERNIA, arrested two dug suspects in a joint buy bust operation with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Palawan on Sunday, April 17, 2022.

Palawan Police Provincial Office Director Police Colonel ADONIS B GUZMAN revealed that Reynaldo Marcelo Vergel, 56, who hails from Barangay Panacan 2, Narra; and Jainalyn Cahag Tamisic, 27, a resident of Barangay Bancalaan, Balabac, all in the said province, were arrested after allegedly selling one medium-sized heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing “shabu” worth Php 5,000.00 to a PDEA agent poseur-buyer in a joint operation of PDEA Palawan; Bataraza Municipal Police Station, Provincial Intelligence Unit, and 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company of Palawan PPO; and Regional Drug Enforcement Unit MIMAROPA in Sitio Kayasyasan, Barangay Rio Tuba, Bataraza, of the said province.

Seized from the suspects’ possession were two additional pieces of medium heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing “shabu”, and other paraphernalia.

The estimated aggregate quantity of seized shabu is 10 grams valued at Php 80,000.00.

The data from the PNP Drug-Related Data Integration and Generation System (DRDIGS) of the Regional Operations Division show that PRO MIMAROPA had already launched 95 anti-illegal drug operations that resulted in the arrest of 102 drug suspects, yielding a total of 298.160 grams of “shabu” valued at Php 2,005,351.00 from January to April 17 this year.
