Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – The Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, led by Police Brigadier General ROGER L QUESADA, successfully apprehended three individuals in separate anti-illegal drug operations conducted regionwide on January 5 to 7, 2024.
Police reports reveal that alias “Joven”, 39, listed as an illegal-drugs high value individual, was arrested in Sitio Alag, Brgy. Victoria, Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro after allegedly selling a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu worth PhP1,000 to a police poseur-buyer during a joint buy-bust operation by the Sablayan Municipal Police Station and Occidental Mindoro PPO Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit.
Authorities confiscated five (5) more pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu, along with the buy-bust money and related paraphernalia.
Furthermore, at approximately 11:10 PM, alias “Norjayk”, of legal age, was apprehended in Purok Centro 2., Brgy. Sta. Lourdes, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, after allegedly selling a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu worth PhP2,000 to an undercover police officer during a buy-bust operation launched by Puerto Princesa City Police Drug Enforcement Unit together with City Intelligence Unit.
Authorities seized approximately 1.12 grams of suspected shabu worth PhP10,080.00, PhP2,000 buy-bust money, and related paraphernalia.
Moreover, a joint buy-bust operation conducted by the elements of Victoria Municipal Police Station and Oriental Mindoro PPO Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit resulted in the arrest of alias “Jun”, 39, in Sitio Santa Maria 2, Brgy. Pakyas, Victoria, Oriental Mindoro, after allegedly selling one piece of small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing shabu worth PhP1,000 to an undercover police officer.
Confiscated from the suspect’s possession were approximately 0.42 grams of suspected shabu, the buy-bust money, and related paraphernalia.
The arrested drug suspects are now under police custody, and complaints of violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165) are being prepared for the inquest proceedings against them.
