Camp Bgen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City – Occidental Mindoro Police Provincial Office arrested three (3) individuals in an anti-illegal gambling operation in Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro on June 18, 2023.

Police report revealed that personnel of Sablayan Municipal Police Station arrested Julius Legaspi Peraan, 47; Bonifacio Canillo Mahinay, 67; and Jodato Tisoy Cabiso, 50, for their alleged involvement in illegal gambling activity (card game ‘tong its’) in So. Tabuk, Brgy. Buenavista, Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro at around 3:45 PM.

The authorities confiscated one set of playing cards, bet money amounting to Php1,020 and other paraphernalia from the suspects’ possession.

Arrested suspects are now under police custody pending the filing of charges of violation of Presidential Decree No. 1602.
