Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – The Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, led by Police Brigadier General ROGER L QUESADA, successfully apprehended four individuals in separate anti-illegal drug operations conducted regionwide on January 11, 2024.

Police report reveals that alias “Ericson”, 32, and alias “John Paul”, 23, listed as illegal-drugs newly identified individuals, were arrested in Sitio Dalapian, Brgy. Labasan, Bongabong, Oriental Mindoro after allegedly selling a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu worth PhP1,000 to a police poseur-buyer during a joint buy-bust operation by the Bongabong Municipal Police Station.

Authorities confiscated three (3) more pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu worth PhP4,000, along with the buy-bust money and related paraphernalia.

Furthermore, at approximately 7:20 PM, alias “Sherwin”, of legal age, was apprehended in Brgy. Balite, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro, after allegedly selling a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu worth PhP500 to an undercover police officer during a buy-bust operation launched by the Calapan City Police Station together with Oriental Mindoro PPO Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU), TSC RMFB, and 404th B MC RMFB.

Authorities seized approximately 0.33 grams of suspected shabu worth PhP2,244.00, the PhP500 buy-bust money, and related paraphernalia.

Moreover, a joint buy-bust operation conducted by the elements of Palawan PPO Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and Aborlan Municipal Police Station resulted in the arrest of alias “Marcos”, 33, in Brgy. Iraan, Aborlan, Palawan, after allegedly selling a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu worth PhP2,500 to an undercover police officer.

Confiscated from the suspect’s possession were approximately 0.09 grams of suspected shabu worth PhP3,000, the buy-bust money, and related paraphernalia.

The arrested drug suspects are now under police custody, and complaints of violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165) are being prepared for the inquest proceedings against them.
