Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, under the leadership of Police Brigadier General SIDNEY SULTAN HERNIA, arrested three drug suspects in a buy-bust operation while another was apprehended in a COMELEC checkpoint in Barangay San Luis, Mambuaro, Occidental Mindoro on Friday, April 15, 2022.
In his report, Occidental Mindoro PPO Director Police Colonel SIMEON L GANE JR revealed that Jayron Tadeja Muling Bayan, 41; Ronan Jay Lalong-isip Reyes, 35; and Christes Maesse Custodio Solis, 31, were arrested after allegedly selling two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing “shabu,” to a police poseur-buyer in a joint police operation led by the Drug Enforcement Team of Mamburao MPS, together with the Occidental Mindoro PPO Drug Enforcement Unit, PRO MIMAROPA Regional Drug Enforcement Unit, Occidental Mindoro PPO 2nd PMFC, and PDEA Occidental Mindoro.
Also seized from the suspects were three additional pieces of small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing “shabu,” valued at Php 46,000.00, and two small heat-sealed sachets containing dried leaves of “Marijuana,” valued at Php 600.00, and other paraphernalia.
On the same day, Raniel Santillan Liedo, 22, who hails from Tondo, Manila, was arrested for alleged possession of two heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected “shabu” with an estimated value of Php 35,000.00 in COMELEC checkpoint manned by personnel of Lubang MPS together with Occidental Mindoro MARPSTA in Sitio Longos, Barangay Tangal, Lubang, of the said province.
Liedo was onboard a non-plated black Suzuki Skydrive 125 motorcycle when flagged down by the police and captured.
The data from the PNP Drug-Related Data Integration and Generation System (DRDIGS) of the Regional Operations Division show that since January – April 15 this year, PRO MIMAROPA had already launched 94 anti-illegal drug operations that resulted in the arrest of 100 drug suspects, yielding a total of 288.160 grams of “shabu” and 1,454.681 grams of “Marijuana” valued at Php 1,925,351.00 and Php 174,561.72, respectively.
The four arrested suspects are now in police custody while charges of violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165) are being prepared for the inquest proceedings against them.
