Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – The Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, led by Police Brigadier General Joel Bargamento Doria, successfully apprehended six individuals in separate anti-illegal drug operations conducted in Oriental Mindoro and Palawan on Tuesday, August 1, 2023,

Police reports reveal that Leonardo De Castro Lindog (60), Rodel Rocha Escala (47), and Darwin Najera Lindog (43) were arrested in Brgy. Malitbog, Bongabong, Oriental Mindoro after allegedly selling a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu worth Php1,000 to a police poseur-buyer during a joint buy-bust operation by the Bongabong MPS Municipal Drug Enforcement Team (MDET), PDEA MIMAROPA RSET, and NBI RO MIMAROPA.

Authorities confiscated approximately 12 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of Php81,600.00, along with the buy-bust money and related paraphernalia.

In Sitio Layugan, Brgy. Canubing II, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro, Willie Marasigan Ramal, Jr. (27), also known as Willie. Ramal, listed as a High-Value Individual, who allegedly sold a small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing shabu worth P500 to an undercover officer at around 4:00 PM in a buy-bust operation by Calapan City Drug Enforcement Team (CDET), Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU), and Technical Support Company (TSC).

Furthermore, at approximately 10:30 PM, Harold Fetalcorin Abainza (39) was apprehended in Brgy. Poblacion 5, Coron, Palawan, after allegedly selling a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu worth Php1,000 to an undercover police officer during a buy-bust operation launched by

Authorities seized approximately eight (8) grams of suspected shabu worth Php44,000.00, along with dry marijuana leaves weighing around four (4) grams valued at Php2,000.00, as well as the buy-bust money and related paraphernalia.

Moreover, a joint buy-bust operation conducted by the elements of Puerto Princesa CPO Police Station 1 resulted in the arrest of Ritchell Pilaez Cenita (29) in Purok II, Zone II, Abad Santos Street, Brgy. Masipag, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, after allegedly selling a small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing shabu worth Php500 to an undercover police officer.

The arrested drug suspects are now police custody, and complaints of violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165) are being prepared for the inquest proceedings against them.

Furthermore, data from the PNP Drug-Related Data Integration and Generation System (DRDIGS) of the Regional Operations Division reveals that PRO MIMAROPA has executed 201 anti-illegal drug operations since January, resulting in the arrest of 227 drug suspects and confiscation of 593.964 grams of shabu valued at Php4,038,955.20 and 1,644.0 grams of marijuana worth Php246,600.00.
