Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, under the leadership of Police Brigadier General SIDNEY SULTAN S HERNIA, has arrested seven most-wanted persons in one-day manhunt operations in Palawan on Thursday, March 31, 2022.
The report from Palawan Police Provincial Office Director PCOL ADONIS B GUZMAN revealed the arrested accused were identified as: (1) Francis Paul Fortaliza Abonales, 21, listed as the Top 9 most-wanted of MIMAROPA Region three counts of Rape; (2) Jeffre Uray Ransang, 28, listed as the top 1 most-wanted of Bataraza, Palawan, for Rape; (3) Remond Roco Dela Rama, 32, of Taytay, Palawan for three counts of Rape and violation of R.A. 7610; (4) Rafael Barroga Barrun, 34, of Quezon, Palawan for the crime of Murder; (5) Renz Kevin Borja, 23, of Brgy. Liminangcong, Taytay, for violation of R.A. 7610; (6) Julius Fabraquil Oguis, 21, of Quezon, Palawan for Rape; and (7) Rufino Andao Garcellano, 84, of Dumaran, Palawan for two counts of Rape.
Data from the Regional Investigative and Detection Management Division showed that PRO MIMAROPA had scored 133 arrested Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) in the first quarter of 2022, an increase of 39 or 41.49% from the 94 arrested MWPs in the same period last year.
