Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – Through the relentless efforts of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC), a total of eighty-one members and supporters of the Communist Terrorist Group surrendered to the Police Regional Office MIMAROPA from January 1 to June 23, 2022.

“Ka Ermon”, 28, a former regular member of Bienvenido Vallever Command, under Kilusang Larangang Gerilya of Sub-Regional Military Area (SRMA-4E), who voluntarily surrendered to the elements of 2nd Palawan Provincial Mobile Force Company led by Police Lieutenant Colonel MHARDIE R AZARES in Sitio Bagto, Brgy. San Nicolas, Roxas, Palawan on June 23, 2022 at around 1:00 PM.

“Ka Ermon” also surrendered one unit of Caliber .38 revolver pistol.

The surrender of “Ka Ermon” was made possible through the intelligence fusion of the Provincial Intelligence Unit of Palawan PPO, Roxas Municipal Police Station, 1st Palawan Provincial Mobile Force Company, Puerto Princesa City Mobile Force Company, Marine Battalion Landing Team 3, and Naval Intelligence and Security Group-West.

“Ka Ermon” is now under the custody of 2nd Palawan PMFC for debriefing prior his enrollment in the government’s Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP).

Police Brigadier General SIDNEY SULTAN HERNIA, MIMAROPA Police Regional Director, said that the successful surrender of “Ka Ermon” was a direct outcome of the PNP’s relentless counter-insurgency campaign, in active partnership with the Philippine Army, and other government agencies under the NTF-ELCAC.

“I commend the efforts of our personnel in this accomplishment. This is a direct result of the PNP’s effective collaboration with the AFP and other government agencies under the NTF-ELCAC. May this success send a resounding message to all other CTG members to finally surrender and return to the folds of our government”, PBGEN HERNIA said. – RPIO MIMAROPA
