Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – In an anti-illegal drug buybust operation conducted on February 19, 2024, at around 2:10 PM in Brgy. Punta, Looc, Romblon, authorities arrested a 64-year-old man who hails from Brgy. Guinghayaan, of the said locality.

Police report indicate that alias “Roy”, 64, was apprehended after allegedly selling one (1) piece of suspected ‘shabu’ in exchange for Php500 to a police poseur-buyer conducted by joint elements of Looc Municipal Police Station, Alcantara Municipal Police Station, and Romblon PPO Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit.

Confiscated from the suspect’s possession were approximately 0.2 gram of suspected shabu worth PhP3,000.00, the Php500 buybust money and other drug paraphernalia.

“Roy” is currently in police custody pending the filing of charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
