Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City – In an anti-illegal drug buybust operation conducted on October 24, 2023, at around 12:40 AM in Brgy. Batiano, Odiongan, Romblon, authorities arrested a 31-year-old man who hails from Rotonda St., Brgy. Batiano, of the said locality.

Police reports indicate that alias “Jayvhell”, 31, was apprehended after allegedly selling one (1) piece of suspected ‘shabu’ in exchange for Php1,000 to a police poseur-buyer in a joint operation conducted by PNP Drug Enforcement Unit-Special Operations Unit (PDEG-SOU) 4B, PDEA Romblon, PDEU Romblon PPO, and Odiongan Municipal Police Station.

Confiscated from the suspect’s possession were approximately 6grams of suspected shabu amounting to Php37,000.00, the buybust money amounting to Php1,000, and other drug paraphernalia.

“Jayvhell” is currently in police custody pending the filing of charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
