Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro-Police General DIONARDO B CARLOS, had his command visit to Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Brgy. Suqui, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro, the home of Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, under the stewardship of its Regional Director, Police Brigadier General SIDNEY SULTAN HERNIA, on January 17, 2022.

The said visit was highlighted by the command conference that the Chief, PNP presided which primarily focused on threat assessment in PRO MIMAROPA and its preparations for the forthcoming National and Local Elections 2022 where he emphasized to all unit commanders his 5Ps: Predict, Plan, Prepare, Practice, Perform for Peaceful Elections.

“It is also very timely that all Regional Mobile Force Battalions (RMFBs) are now placed under the operational control of Area Police Commands (APCs). The APCs shall focus on our fight against insurgency, terrorism, and dismantling of private armed groups or PAGs while the local police will take charge the anti-criminality operations, elections preparations, and anti-illegal drugs operations”, PGen CARLOS said.

He even mentioned that reshuffling of unit commanders and other personnel with relatives seeking for elective positions was implemented before election period commenced on January 9, 2022 in order to give assurance to the public that PNP personnel, as public servants, shall remain non-partisan at all times.

The PNP’s top cop also reiterated that his leadership will pursue the PNP programs on anti-criminality, anti-illegal drugs, and anti-corruption through enhanced managing police operations (E-MPO), double barrel finale; and intensified cleanliness policy (ICP).

“All PRO MIMAROPA personnel, under my watch, are committed to abide our Chief, PNP’s directive to remain non-partisan during elections, and we will ensure that our citizenry will have a secure and fair elections in the entire region”, PBGen HERNIA remarked.

“Our election preparations have been set and our Regional Election Monitoring and Action Center is 24/7 monitoring the situation in the field”, he continued.-RPIO MIMAROPA
