Camp Bgen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City – Police arrested a 55-year-old man in an anti-illegal gambling operation in Naujan, Oriental Mindoro on February 9, 2024.

Police report revealed that personnel of CIDG Oriental Mindoro PFU together with RSOT CIDG RFU 4B and Naujan Municipal Police Station arrested alias “Willy”, 55, after being caught in the act of collecting bet money without proper authority coming from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) in Sitio Sampaloc, Brgy. Santiago, Naujan, Oriental Mindoro at around 11:30 AM.

The authorities confiscated one (1) bundle of betting material (lastilyas), three (3) Carbon paper, one (1) tally sheet of Small-Town Lottery Collection Report Form, one (1) black ballpen and bet money amounting to PhP4,020.00 from the suspects’ possession.

Arrested suspect is now under police custody pending the filing of charges of violation of R.A. 9287.
