Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro- Alias “Ka Renan”, 38 years old, resident of Sitio Lasa, Brgy. Balugo, Mansalay, Oriental Mindoro, a regular member of communist terrorist group (CTG) or CPP/NPA, voluntarily surrendered on February 13, 2022.

“Ka Renan” is a regular member of CTG (CPP/NPA) under Kilusang Larangang Girelya MAV, Sub-Regional Military Area-4D, Southern Tagalog Regional Party Committee, that operates in the Municipalities of Calintaan, Rizal, San Jose and Magsaysay in the Province of Occidental Mindoro, and the Municipalities of Bulalacao, Mansalay, Roxas and Bongabong in Oriental Mindoro.

The surrender of “Ka Renan” was a result of the joint efforts of the provincial intelligence and other units of Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office, PNP SAF, and the 203rd Infantry Brigade, Philippine Army.

The constant reiteration of Police Colonel GIL FRANCIS G TRIA, Deputy Regional Director for Operations, has boosted unit commanders, including the provincial directors and chiefs of police, to strive hard to achieve more accomplishments in Executive Order 70 (a measure that institutionalizes a National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict activities).

Statistics revealed that Police Regional Office MIMAROPA had recorded a total of 299 surrendered communist terrorist group members since January 1, 2021.

As of press time, “Ka Renan” is now under the custody of 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, Oriental Mindoro for debriefing and determination whether said former rebel is qualified for the Enhanced Comprehensive Integration Program (ECLIP).
