Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City – Eight ( individuals were arrested during an anti-illegal gambling operation in Bataraza, Palawan on February 4, 2024.

Report revealed that joint personnel of Bataraza Municipal Police Station and 401st B MC RMFB apprehended alias “Nursayde” (23); alias “Gilbert” (37); alias “Resi” (22); alias “Cleno” (58); alias “Hamorin” (42); alias “Kirewan” (35); alias “Hamisal” (40); and alias “Norkisa” (31), for their alleged involvement in illegal gambling activity (illegal cockfighting and dice game) in Sitio Sagasa, Brgy Sapa, Bataraza, Palawan at around 4:30 PM.

The authorities confiscated three wounded fighting cocks; one piece of dice board with printed numbers; five pieces of gray dice; one piece of dice cup; and bet money amounting to PhP855.00 from the suspects’ possession.

Arrested suspects are now under police custody pending the filing of charges for violation of Presidential Decree No. 1602.
