Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro- On January 10, 2022 about 8:30 PM, an explosion transpired in front of Barcelona Shop, Pandurucan Bridge, Brgy. Poblacion 3, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro which hurt Raymond Rogero Barcelona, 29 years old, a resident of the said place.

Initial investigation disclosed that the victim was in front of his shop when two (2) unidentified malefactors, wearing black t-shirts, and maong pants on board of black Rusi motorcycle immediately threw an explosive to him.

The victim sustained a slight bruise on his left chest and was taken to San Jose District hospital while the suspects fled to an unknown direction.

At present, elements of San Jose Municipal Police Station are still conducting follow-up operations and thorough investigation for possible identification, arrest of the suspect/s as well as to determine the motive of the incident.

“I have already directed all concerned unit commanders in Occidental Mindoro Police Provincial Office to create a team in order to conduct thorough investigation on the said incident. We will never tolerate any nefarious activities or plans of criminals to disrupt the serenity of Occidental Mindoro”, Police Brigadier General SIDNEY SULTAN HERNIA stressed.
