Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – A 46-year-old former NPA rebel, who is listed in the Periodic Status Report (PSR), was arrested based on a warrant of arrest for the crime of attempted murder at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro on December 29, 2023.

The police report revealed that “Ka Elmer,” who is a former member of MAV Command, Southern Tagalog Regional Party Committee (STRPC), was charged with attempted murder by an arrest warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 43, in Roxas, Oriental Mindoro. The arrest was carried out by the personnel of Bulalacao Municipal Police Station together with Oriental Mindoro PPO 2nd PMFC and Provincial Intelligence Unit.

The said wanted person is currently in police custody and will be turned over to the appropriate court.
