Former CTG member surrenders to MIMAROPA police

Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – A former Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) member finally surrendered to the Regional Mobile Force Battalion MIMAROPA (RMFB 4B) on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.

RMFB 4B Commander, Police Colonel ROLANDO C LAMPAD, revealed that “Ka Ging”, 36, a former member of the Kilusang Larangang Gerilya (KLG) North, Sub-Regional Military Area-4E, Southern Tagalog Regional Party Committee, under Lucio de Guzman Command, surrendered to the elements of 402nd B Maneuver Company led by PCPT JOHN ALDRIN S ALOJADO in Barangay Poblacion, Abra de Ilog, Occidental Mindoro after months of negotiation.

“Ka Ging” was recruited when he was studying in 2006 by means of deception and manipulation.

The former CTG is now under the custody of RMFB 4B for debriefing prior to his enrollment in the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP).

Statistics disclosed that Police Regional Office MIMAROPA had scored 60 surrendered CTG members from January 1 to April 17, 2022.

MIMAROPA police chief Police Brigadier General SIDNEY SULTAN HERNIA said that Ka Ging’s successful surrender was the result of the PNP’s relentless counter-insurgency campaign in active partnership with the Philippine Army, and other government agencies under the NTF-ELCAC (National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict).

“I commend the efforts of our personnel for their effective efforts in this accomplishment. I hope that this will send a resounding message to all other CTG members to finally surrender and return to the mainstream society.” PBGen Hernia said. – RPIO MIMAROPA
