Camp BGen Efigencio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – A 37-year-old High Value Individual (HVI) who hails from Sitio Marabahay, Brgy. Riotuba, Palawan was arrested in a buy-bust operation in the said place, Wednesday evening, March 9, 2022.
The police report revealed that the arrested personality, Jeffrey Hamod Sanuddin, was nabbed after allegedly selling a one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing “shabu”, in exchange for one five-hundred-peso bill to a police poseur-buyer in a joint operation by Bataraza police (lead unit), Regional Drug Enforcement Unit, Provincial Intelligence Unit and 3rd Platoon of the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company of Palawan, Police Major DHENIES S ACOSTA, Bataraza police chief said.
Also seized from the Sanuddin’s possession were five additional pieces of small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets, containing “shabu”, one five-hundred-peso bill as buy-bust money, and other paraphernalia.
The estimated aggregate quantity of suspected shabu/illegal drug evidence recovered from the suspect is five (5) grams with an estimated Standard Drug Price of Php 28,000.00.
As of press time, Sanuddin is under the custody of Bataraza MPS while a criminal complaint of a violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165) is being prepared for the inquest proceedings against him before the provincial prosecutor’s office in Puerto Princesa City.
Meanwhile, the PNP Drug-Related Data Integration and Generation System (DRDIGS) shows that PRO MIMAROPA recorded a total of 51 buy-bust operations with 57 arrested persons, and confiscation of more or less 193.123 grams of “shabu” amounting to Php 395,859.147 and 124.5 grams of marijuana amounting to Php 397,350 based on the Dangerous Drugs Board, from January 1 to March 9, 2022.
This commendable achievement can be attributed to the relentless efforts of Police Regional Office MIMAROPA field commanders, under the leadership of its Regional Director Police Brigadier General SIDNEY SULTAN HERNIA, in eliminating the illegal drugs problem within its jurisdiction through the focused police operations.
