Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, under the leadership of Police Brigadier General SIDNEY SULTAN HERNIA, captured a high-value individual in a drug buy-bust operation launched in Brgy. Ipil, Bongabong, Oriental Mindoro on Friday, April 22, 2022.
Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office Director Police Colonel RENANTE C CABICO revealed that the arrested drug suspect, Carlo Lacena Marciano, alias “Caloy”, 37, hails from Barangay Sta. Maria, Pinamalayan of the said province was arrested after allegedly selling one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing “shabu” in exchange for a five-hundred-peso bill to a police poseur-buyer in a law enforcement operation led by the elements of Bongabong Municipal Police Station Drug Enforcement Team led by PLT MARK ANTONY C PABLOREÑA.
Also seized from the suspect’s possession were seven additional pieces of small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing “shabu,” Php 500.00 buy-bust money, and other paraphernalia.
The data from the PNP Drug-Related Data Integration and Generation System (DRDIGS) of the Regional Operations Division show that PRO MIMAROPA had launched 97 anti-illegal drug operations since January this year, resulting in the arrest of 104 drug suspects, yielding a total of 298.760 grams of “shabu,” valued at Php 2,009,421.
Marciano is now under the custody of the Bongabong Municipal Police Station. At the same time, a complaint of a violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165) is being prepared for the inquest proceedings against him.
