Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City – Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office arrested a 37-year-old man during an anti-illegal logging operation in Sitio Antipolo, Brgy. Mabuhay 1, Socorro, Oriental Mindoro on January 30, 2024 at around 2:00 PM.

Police report revealed that alias “Caezar”, 37, was arrested by joint personnel from Socorro Municipal Police Station, CIT Oriental Mindoro RID 4B, and 2nd Platoon 1st PMFC Oriental Mindoro PPO, after being found to be in possession and control of undocumented cut lumbers (Gemilina species).

Recovered from the crime scene were approximately 82 board feet of cut lumbers with an estimated amount of Php3,690.00.

The suspect is now under police custody pending the filing of charges of violation of Presidential Decree No. 705.
