Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – The intensified one-day anti-crime operation conducted by the Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, under the leadership of Police Brigadier General ROGER L QUESADA, resulted in the arrest of Marinduque’s top 5 most wanted person and two other wanted individuals on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.

According to the police report, alias “Marx Jerel”, 24, who ranked as the top 5 most wanted person in Marinduque, was apprehended in Brgy. Banogbog, Sta.Cruz, Marinduque.

The arrest was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the CIDG Marinduque Provincial Field Unit, Sta. Cruz Municipal Police Station, Marinduque PPO Provincial Intelligence Unit and Provincial Highway Patrol Team.

“Marx Jerel” was arrested based on an arrest warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 94 in Boac, Marinduque, for the crime of Qualified Theft under Art. 310 of the Revised Penal Code, with bail set at PhP24,000.00 and Qualified Theft (14 counts) with recommended bail amounting to Php40,000.00 each count.

Meanwhile, the two other arrested wanted persons are alias “Jay-ar”, 18, for the crime of Theft, and alias “Donald”, 30, for Slight Physical Injuries.

The arrested persons are currently in police custody and will be turned over to the appropriate courts.
