Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – The one-day intensified manhunt operations by Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, under the leadership of Police Brigadier General SIDNEY SULTAN HERNIA, led to the arrest of three most wanted persons and six other wanted persons on Monday, May 16, 2022.
PRO MIMAROPA police had arrested the following wanted persons: (1) Joshua Rodriguez Asuncion, 31, listed as top 4 MWP of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, for the crime of Rape in relation to R.A. 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act), with no bail recommended, and Lascivious Conduct under R.A. 7610 with bail amounting to Php 120,000.00 (2) Rix Casaberde Lumungsod, 23, listed as a drug high-value individual of Taytay, Palawan, for violation of R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) with no bail recommended and (3) Mike Lourence Pelayre Paredes, 24, of Roxas, Palawan, for the crime of Rape with no bail recommended.
Meanwhile, Ranier Geremia Catapat, 38, another wanted person of Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro, was nabbed for violation of R.A. 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004).
The other five wanted persons from Aborlan, Palawan were also arrested for violation of P.D. 705-Revised Forestry Code of the Philippines (1) Jerold Espineda Dela Cruz, 35 (2) John Paul Poroque Delgado, 23 (3) Kerby Garcia Limsa, 32 (4) Michael Lagan Ramirez, 31 and (5) Ismael Bacaser Zumaraga, 54.
The data from the Regional Investigation and Detection Management Division showed that PRO MIMAROPA had scored a total of 938 arrests of wanted persons, including 236 MWPs since January this year.
