Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – A total of 177 persons involved in illegal logging activities were arrested in the intensified operations against illegal logging activities in MIMAROPA since January this year.

Records from the Regional Operations Division (ROD) revealed that PRO MIMAROPA, under the leadership of Police Brigadier General SIDNEY SULTAN HERNIA, had confiscated a total of 32,884.07 board feet of illegally cut lumbers valued at Php 1,192,774.81 in 155 separate police operations conducted from January 1 to June 29, 2022.

In its efforts to restore and preserve our environment, more than 340,000 seedlings of fruit and non-fruit bearing trees were already planted by the personnel of Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, and various stakeholders since January this year based on the report from the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division (RCADD).
