Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, under the leadership of PBGEN SIDNEY SULTAN HERNIA, arrested three alleged drug peddlers listed as priority drug high-value individuals in separate buy-bust operations in Oriental Mindoro and Palawan on Monday, June 20, 2022.

Police reports revealed that suspects, Joy Macariola Dinglasan alias “Ivan”, 34; and Marigay Bariza Marquez, 40, were arrested at about 3:46 PM in Barangay Salong, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro after allegedly selling one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing “shabu” in exchange for Php1000.00 to a police poseur buyer in a joint police operation led by the operatives from the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit/Regional Special Concern Group (RPDEU/RCSG) 4B and PNP Drug Enforcement Group – Special Operations Unit (PDEG-SOU) 4B, together with the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Calapan CPS City Drug Enforcement Team, 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, all under Oriental Mindoro PPO, and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 4B.

Seized from the suspects’ possession were ten more pieces of small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing “shabu”, weighing approximately at 1.73 grams valued at Php11,000.00, the buy bust money, and other paraphernalia.

Meanwhile, Robin Troy Roxas alias “Troy”, 22, was arrested about 10:00 AM in Barangay San Pedro, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan after selling one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing “shabu” in exchange for Php1500.00 to a police poseur buyer in a joint buy-bust operation led by the RPDEU/RCSG 4B together with personnel from Police Station 1, City Intelligence Unit, and City Drug Enforcement Unit, City Mobile Force Company, all under Puerto Princesa City Police Office, and 401st B Maneuver Company of RMFB 4B.

Seized from Roxas’ possession were two more small heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu, priced at Php2,500.00, four small heat-sealed sachets of dried leaves of Marijuana, with approximate weight of three grams and valued at Php2,000.00, and other paraphernalia.

The data from the PNP Drug-Related Data Integration and Generation System (DRDIGS) of the Regional Operations Division show that since January this year, PRO MIMAROPA had already launched 149 anti-illegal drug operations that resulted in the arrest of 166 drug suspects, yielding a total of 394.362 grams of “shabu” and 1,597.441 grams of Marijuana, valued at Php 2,681,661.6 and Php196,080.92, respectively.

Said arrested suspects are now under police custody while charges in violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165) are being prepared for the inquest proceedings against them.
