Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro –Police Regional Office MIMAROPA Director Police Brigadier General SIDNEY SULTAN HERNIA has directed all police units in the region to intensify the preventive security measures against violent acts in schools ahead of the start of the face-to-face classes in November this year.
The MIMAROPA top cop issued the order in consonance with the directive of the PNP Officer-In-Charge Police Lieutenant General VICENTE D DANAO, JR to conduct collaborative dialogues with stakeholders to enhance security measures for the opening of the face-to-face classes.
PBGen Hernia said that the intensified security measures are aimed at preventing crimes and ensuring that police intervention is in place to diffuse other lawless incidents on school premises.
“We are also expecting that more people will be going out not only in schools but also in other public places when physical classes are fully implemented. That is why I have also directed all field commanders to strictly implement the Minimum Public Health Protocols to deter the possible resurgence of COVID-19 infection along with their anti-criminality measures”, PBGen Hernia assured. – RPIO MIMAROPA
