Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – The relentless effort of PRO MIMAROPA, under the leadership of Police Brigadier General SIDNEY SULTAN S HERNIA, in tracking down persons wanted by law led to the arrest of 2 most wanted persons (MWP), and ten other wanted fugitives in separate manhunt operations launched by the different police provincial offices in the region on Monday, March 21, 2022.

The police report said the two most wanted persons (MWPs) were arrested in Palawan and Oriental Mindoro provinces.

Bobby Santos De Jesus, 40, top 6 MWP of the said town, was arrested in a law enforcement operation led by personnel of Coron Municipal Police Station in Sitio Demanyang, Brgy. Guadalupe, Coron, Palawan, under an arrest warrant for three counts of Violation of the Anti-Child Abuse Law (RA 7610) with recommended bail of Php108,000.00 each.

On the other hand, Randy Bersoto Masangkay Jr, 26, who hails from Brgy. Balite, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro, top 10 MWP of the said city, was nabbed in Ellustre Avenue, Brgy. District II, Lemery, Batangas City in a joint operation led by CIDG Regional Field Unit 4B (Regional Special Operations Team), Calapan City Police Station, together with Police Station 1 of La Loma Police Station, Quezon City Police District, and Lemery Municipal Police Station, Batangas Police Provincial Office under an arrest warrant for the crime of rape with no bail recommended.

Also, police were able to arrest ten other wanted persons: two from Marinduque province for the violation of PD 1602, one from Puerto Princesa City for the crime of statutory rape, one from Occidental Mindoro for two counts of frustrated murder, two from Palawan for the crime of adultery and violation of PD 1602, four from Oriental Mindoro for the crime of attempted homicide, violation of RA 9262, robbery, and direct assault with attempted homicide.

Records from the Regional Investigative and Detective Management Division revealed that from January 1 to March 21, 2022, Police Regional Office MIMAROPA successfully arrested 112 MWPs and 415 Other OWPs.

PBGen Hernia commended all the operating units for their constant efforts that led to the arrest of the said wanted persons.

“I congratulate all police stations, provincial directors, and other PNP units for a job well done. This is another significant accomplishment of the PNP against wanted persons”, PBGen Hernia stressed.
