Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City – The Police Regional Office MIMAROPA arrested two individuals for allegedly possessing undocumented firearms and ammunitions during a law enforcement operation conducted regionwide on September 11 and 12, 2023.

Police report revealed that at about 6:30 AM of September 12, 2023, joint personnel from San Andres Municipal Police Station, Romblon PPO Provincial Mobile Force Company and Provincial Intelligence Unit apprehended Golden Gadon Española, 43, after discovering firearms and ammunition in his residence in Sitio Riverside, Barangay Mabini, San Andres, of the said province.

The authorities confiscated one (1) Armscor Caliber 45 color black with serial number 926141, two (2) Caliber 45 magazines colored black, eight ( rounds caliber 45 live ammunition, one (1) caliber 38 colored silver without serial number, two (2) caliber 38 live ammunition and one (1) fired cartridge, one Airgun rifle Jeranno colored silver/black/brown with serial number 56428, and one (1) sling bag colored yellow green containing tickler Pinuno Partylist colored blue and assorted papers.

The operation stemmed from a search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court, Branch 82 in Odiongan, Romblon.

Similarly, at approximately 10:00 AM of September 11, 2023, personnel from Roxas Municipal Police Station apprehended Fortunato Albao Torecampo Jr., 35, after discovering firearms and ammunition in his residence in Sitio San Dionisio, Brgy. Malcampo, Roxas, Oriental Mindoro.

Confiscated from Torecampo’s possession were one (1) air gun with load, one (1) improvise 12-gauge shotgun and one (1) improvised pellet holder with 20 pellets.

The arrested persons and confiscated pieces of evidence are now under police custody for proper disposition.
