Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro-Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, under the stewardship of the Police Brigadier General SIDNEY SULTAN HERNIA, yielded more surrendered loose firearms.
A total of 439 surrendered loose firearms was gained by this office from a short period starting on January 1-February 9, 2022.
Out of the said figure, 171 refers to firearms for safekeeping and 261 corresponds to firearms voluntarily surrendered, and 7 have been surrendered after the “OPLAN katok” and other police operations.
As of press time, the said police office logs a total of 8, 424 operations which include “katok”, service of search warrants, and police responses, covering the same period.
The constant reiteration, has fueled unit commanders, including the provincial directors and chiefs of police, to take extra miles towards achieving more accomplishments on the said OPLAN.
“Time and again, I commend all field commanders for this remarkable accomplishment. I hope that they will remain steadfast in the campaign against loose firearms so us to attain our goal for zero election-related violence during this year’s polls”, PBGen Hernia emphasized. -RPIO MIMAROPA
