Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – Hyram Apostol Villanueva, 53, the number 1 most-wanted person of Naujan, Oriental Mindoro was arrested in Barangay Kumintang Ilaya, Batangas City on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at about 5:30 PM.
Police report said Villanueva, who hails from Barangay Santiago, Naujan, Oriental Mindoro, was arrested in a joint law enforcement operation led by the operatives of Naujan MPS led by Police Lieutenant Colonel NONATO P BANANIA JR., together with the elements from the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Batangas Provincial Field Unit, and CIDG Regional Field Unit MIMAROPA; Calapan City Police Station, and 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company of Oriental Mindoro; Regional Mobile Force Battalion 4B; Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) 4B; 10th Special Action Battalion of the PNP Special Action Force; and Roxas Municipal Police Station of Palawan.
Villanueva was arrested under a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court, Family Court, Branch 12 in Naujan, Oriental Mindoro, for the crime of Four (4) counts of Rape in Relation to R.A. 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse Exploitation and Discrimination Act) with no bail recommended.
The data from the Regional Investigation and Detection Management Division disclosed that PRO MIMAROPA had already scored a total of 692 arrests of wanted persons since January this year; a 5.17 percent increase from the total of 658 arrests in the same period last year.
