Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, under the leadership of PBGEN SIDNEY SULTAN HERNIA, arrested three drug suspects in an anti-illegal drugs operation with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Sitio Kasoy, Barangay Central, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro on Monday, June 27, 2022.

Occidental Mindoro Police Provincial Office Director Police Colonel SIMEON L GANE Jr revealed that Lawrence Adriano Mariano a.k.a. “Asyong”, 46; Wowie Peralta Bernabe, 25; and Julius Elbania Quizon, 38, all residents of San Jose, of the said province, were arrested after allegedly selling one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing “shabu”, weighing 0.3 grams worth Php 1,000 to a poseur-buyer in a joint drug buy-bust operation of PDEA Occidental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro PPO Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, and San Jose MPS Drug Enforcement Team, and Naval Intelligence and Security Group Southern Luzon.

Also seized from the suspects’ possession were four more pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing “shabu” weighing more or less 13 grams worth Php104,000.00; and other paraphernalia.

Arrested suspects are now under police custody while charges in violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165) are being prepared for the inquest proceedings against them.

The data from the PNP Drug-Related Data Integration and Generation System (DRDIGS) of the Regional Operations Division show that PRO MIMAROPA had already launched 153 anti-illegal drug operations that resulted in the arrest of 172 drug suspects, yielding a total of 378.67 grams of shabu valued at Php2,589,516 from January 1 to June 28, 2022.
