Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, under the leadership of Police Brigadier General SIDNEY SULTAN HERNIS, captured Oriental Mindoro’s Top 7 most wanted person (MWP) for 17 counts of Qualified Theft on Friday, August 12, 2022.

Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office Director Police Colonel RENANTE C CABICO revealed that Grace A. Galit-Gacote, 30, who hails from Barangay Conrazon, Bansud, Oriental Mindoro, was arrested in Barangay Camilmil, Calapan City, of the said province in a joint law enforcement operation led by the operatives of Calapan City Police Station, Bansud Municipal Police Station, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company of Oriental Mindoro PPO, Oriental Mindoro Maritime Police Station (MARPSTA) and Provincial Highway Patrol Team (PHPT) Oriental Mindoro.

Gacote has a warrant of arrest issued by Calapan City Regional Trial Court, Branch 40 for 17 counts of Qualified Theft with recommended bail amounting to Php72,000.00 each.

The data from the Regional Investigation and Detection Management Division disclosed that PRO MIMAROPA had already recorded 342 apprehensions of most wanted persons (MWP) from January to August 12 this year; a 29.01 increase from the 265 MWP arrested in the same period last year.

PBGen Hernia lauded the operating police units for another accomplishment in the PNP’s intensified campaign against wanted persons.
