Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City — Police Regional Office MIMAROPA and Stairway Foundation Inc. (SFI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to further expand their partnership advocating the promotion and protection of Women and Children’s Rights in the MIMAROPA region, held in Barangay Aninuan, Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro on Wednesday, May 3, 2023
The MOU, which was signed by PRO MIMAROPA Regional Director PBGEN JOEL B DORIA and SFI Executive Director Lars C. Jorgensen, aims to strengthen efforts for joint advocacy and support for PRO MIMAROPA as a frontline service provider to victim-survivors who experience physical, sexual, psychological, economic, and other forms of abuse to women and children in the region.
In his message, PBGEN DORIA, on behalf of Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, expressed commitment for the successful implementation of the said MOU.
“I would like to assure you of PNP’s commitment to supporting the efforts to maximize the policy, coordination, monitoring, evaluation, capacity building and advocacy for the promotion and protection of children’s rights in the whole of MIMAROPA region,” said PBGEN DORIA.
“We, the members of Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, will do whatever we can in order to provide a successful implementation of this Memorandum of Understanding,” he added.
The Stairway Foundation Inc. (SFI) was registered with the SEC as a non-stock, non-profit corporation conceived in 1990 by Lars C. Jorgensen and his wife Monica Ray primarily as an alternative approach for the protection of children at risk in the Philippines.
