Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – Police Regional Office MIMAROPA anti-drug operatives nabbed a priority high-value individual (PHVI) in a buy-bust operation in Sitio Bucana, Brgy. Iwahig, Puerto Princesa City, Friday afternoon, March 25, 2022.
The police report revealed that the arrested drug suspect, Raymart Gonzales Ignacio, alias “Burnok,” 25, hails from Zone 4, Sitio Bucana, Bgy. Iwahig, of the said city, was nabbed after allegedly selling one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing “shabu,” weighing more or less 0.2 grams, in exchange for Php 3,000.00 to a police poseur-buyer in a drug sting operation led by PS2 Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET).
As of press time, Ignacio is under the custody of Police Station 2, PPCO. A complaint on violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165) is being prepared for the inquest proceedings against him.
Records from the PNP Drug-Related Data Integration and Generation System (DRDIGS) of the Regional Operations Division (ROD) revealed that from January 1 – March 25 of 2022, Police Regional Office MIMAROPA has scored 78 operations that led to the arrest of 82 drug suspects, yielding a total of 261.430 grams of “shabu,” valued at Php 1,777,724.
Police Regional Office MIMAROPA Regional Director, Police Brigadier General SIDNEY SULTAN HERNIA, commended the anti-drug operatives of Puerto Princesa City Police Office (PPCPO) led by Police Colonel ROBERTO M BUCAD, for their relentless efforts in eliminating the illegal drug activities in Puerto Princesa City.
