Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, under the leadership of Police Brigadier General SIDNEY SULTAN HERNIA, nabbed a priority high-value individual and a barangay official in two separate anti-criminality operations in Occidental Mindoro, Saturday, March 26, 2022.

Occidental Mindoro Police Provincial Office Director Police Colonel SIMEON L GANE, JR said that Nelson Poblete Cadiao alias Bobet Cadiao, 27, who hails from Buenavista, Sablayan, of the said province, was arrested after allegedly selling two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing “shabu,” in exchange for a one-thousand-peso bill to a police poseur-buyer in a joint operation led by the Occidental Mindoro PPO Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and Sablayan MPS Municipal Drug Enforcement Team in Barangay Buenavista, of the said place.

Also seized from the Cadiao’s possession were two additional pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing “shabu”, weighing more or less 0.41 grams valued at Php 6,000.00.

In another police operation, a barangay kagawad, Florencio Mortel Leboro, 40, was arrested during a joint law enforcement operation by CIDG Occidental Mindoro Provincial Field Unit and Magsaysay Municipal Police Station in his residence at Sitio Emok, Brgy. Paclolo, Magsaysay, of the said province under a search warrant for violation of RA10591 issued by RTC, Branch 45, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.

Recovered from the said operation were six caliber .45 cartridges.

Data from the from the PNP Drug-Related Data Integration and Generation System of the Regional Operations Division revealed that since January of 2022, Police Regional Office MIMAROPA has accomplished 78 anti-illegal drugs operations that led to the arrest of 83 drug suspects, yielding a total of 261.840 grams of “shabu,” valued at Php 1,780,512.

Meanwhile, records from the Regional Election Monitoring Action Center (REMAC) show that from January 9 to March 25, 2022, PRO MIMAROPA had launched 23 operations that resulted in the arrest of 15 persons, confiscation of 23 firearms, and 130 pieces of ammunition.

“I commend the operatives of Occidental Mindoro PPO and CIDG for another successful law enforcement operations that led to the arrest of these suspects.
