Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – MIMAROPA police anti-illegal drugs operatives collared a drug priority high-value individual (PHVI) in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Liminangcong, Taytay, Palawan, Friday evening, March 18, 2022.

The police report revealed that the arrested drug suspect, Marco Dela Cruz Rue, 30, fisherman, listed as Puerto Princesa City’s priority high-value individual (PHVI), was nabbed after allegedly selling two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets, containing “shabu”, weighing more or less 0.022 grams valued at Php 3,000.00 to a police poseur-buyer in a joint police operation led by the Palawan Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PPDEU), together with the members of the 2nd Palawan Provincial Maneuver Force Company (PPMFC), 401st B Maneuver Company Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 4B, and Taytay MPS.

Seized from the suspect’s possession were one genuine one-thousand-peso-bill, two pieces of one-thousand-peso bill, and other parapharnalia.

As of press time, Ruego is under the custody of the Taytay MPS, while a complaint on violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165) is being prepared for the inquest proceedings against him.

Records from the PNP Drug-Related Data Integration and Generation System (DRDIGS), from January 1 to March 18, 2022, Police Regional Office MIMAROPA has already scored 75 drug operations and nabbed a total of 80 drug personalities, yielding a total of 257.64 grams of “shabu” and 1,176.721 grams of Marijuana with an estimated value of Php1,751,952 and Php142,334.52, respectively.

Police Regional Office MIMAROPA Regional Director, Police Brigadier General SIDNEY SULTAN HERNIA, commended the operating units for their relentless commitment to eradicate the illegal drugs problem in the region.

“I would like to commend the drug operatives of Palawan PPO and the RMFB 4B for the successful conduct of a buy-bust operation that led to the arrest of priority high-value individual of Puerto Princesa City. This accomplishment manifests our intense resolve to completely eradicate all forms of illegal drug activities in the region.” PBGen HERNIA said.
