Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro- Police Brigadier General SIDNEY SULTAN HERNIA, was installed as the new and the 17th Regional Director of Police Regional Office MIMAROPA during the Change of Command Ceremony in front of the Parade Ground of Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Brgy. Suqui, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro on January 6, 2021 with Police Lieutenant General FERDINAND O DIVINA, the Commander of Area Police Command-Southern Tagalog, as the presiding officer.
The said ceremony was witnessed by distinguished guests from the local government units led Dr. Hubbert Christopher A. Dolor, Provincial Administrator of Oriental Mindoro; Hon. Arnan C. Panaligan, Mayor of Calapan City; by the Command Group, Regional Staff, and media personalities, and viewed virtually by Provincial Directors, and Chiefs of Police in 73 municipal police stations in the entire region.
PBGEN HERNIA belongs to Philippine Military Academy “Tanglaw Diwa Class 92”, who was the former Director of the PNP Retirement and Benefits Administration Service, Executive Officer of the Directorate for Plans, and Deputy Director of PNP Finance Service.
He replaced PBGEN NELSON B BONDOC who served as Regional Director of the same unit from May 10, 2021 up to January 4, 2022.
In his assumption speech, PBGEN HERNIA emphasized his six focus programs: personnel morale and welfare, intensified cleanliness policy, double barrel finale, anti-criminality operations, national and local elections preparations, COVID 19 (Omicron Variant) Response, and ELCAC programs and activities.
He even enjoined all men and women of PRO MIMAROPA to sustain their momentum in fulfilling their sworn duties with the active support of the community.
“While I am aware and deeply grateful for the support to the local police of the various sectors in this region, I now take this opportunity to renew our call to them to continue working with us towards achieving peace in the entire MIMAROPA”, he said.
He also asked the more or less 6,000 strong Police MIMAROPA Eco-warriors to support him in his advocacies.
“Let us journey forward in unity and work even harder to bring PRO MIMAROPA to greater height of performance and achievement”, he added. – RPIO MIMAROPA
