Camp BGen Efigenio C. Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – The Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, led by PBGEN ROGER L QUESADA, Regional Director, joined the entire nation in commemorating the 76th International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers with the theme, “Fit for the Future: Building Better Together,” held here today, May 29, 2024.

In a message read by PBGEN MARTIN E DEFENSOR, JR, DRDA, PRO MIMAROPA, PBGEN QUESADA expressed his deepest gratitude and respect for all the nation’s peacekeepers.

“To the heroes of peacekeeping – past, present, and future – I extend my deepest gratitude and respect. Your legacy of courage and compassion will continue to inspire generations to come,” he stated.

“May we all remain committed to being fit for the future and continue to build better together,” he added.

The International Day of UN Peacekeepers was established by the UN General Assembly in 2002 to pay tribute to all men and women serving in peacekeeping and to honor the memory of those who have lost their lives in the cause of peace.
