Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City—PRO MIMAROPA Regional Director, PBGEN JOEL B DORIA, has already taken immediate action to ensure the safety of all PNP personnel and communities in the region in response to Typhoon Mawar.

“We want to reassure the public that we have taken proactive measures and made thorough preparations to safeguard their lives and properties from the potential impacts of Typhoon Mawar in the region,” said PBGEN DORIA.

PBGEN Doria has alerted all Provincial Directors and unit commanders to prioritize the safety and well-being of all PNP personnel and their respective communities.

“With the necessary resources in place, including the Quick Response Teams (QRTs) and rescue teams for the distribution of relief goods, we are fully prepared for any eventuality,” stated PBGEN DORIA.

He emphasized the importance of securing all camps, stations, and houses, conducting a thorough personnel and equipment accounting for search and rescue operations, and coordinating with Local Chief Executives to activate the PDRRMO and MDRRMO, if needed.

PBGEN DORIA also provided essential preparedness tips to the public.

He advised individuals to prepare an emergency kit with at least three days’ worth of food, water, clothing, medicine, and other necessary supplies to ensure their safety during the typhoon.

Moreover, PBGEN Doria emphasized the importance of staying informed by keeping track of updates and advisories from PAGASA and local authorities to stay ahead of potential risks and hazards.

“We will closely monitor the development of Typhoon Mawar in our area of responsibility (AOR) in coordination with LGUs and concerned agencies, even though the region is not an area of concern,” reassured the top cop of MIMAROPA.
