Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro — Police Regional Office (PRO) MIMAROPA, under the stewardship of PBGEN JOEL B DORIA, in partnership with the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), and the Local Government Unit of Bongabong, successfully conducted a “Serbisyo Caravan” that aimed to deliver basic government services to over 500 families in Brgy. Sta. Cruz, Bongabong, Oriental Mindoro on Tuesday, June 20, 2023.
The event, which distributed 500 food packs to insurgency-affected and less fortunate families in the area, was facilitated by PRO MIMAROPA Regional Community Affairs Development Division (RCADD) personnel, led by PCOL ADONIS B GUZMAN, Chief of RCADD, and Oriental Mindoro PPO 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), led by PLTCOL ANTHONY J RAMOS, Force Commander, together with Mr. Eric Balcos, Asst. Vice President, CRSD, PAGCOR, and the Local Government Unit of Bongabong, headed by Mayor Elegio Malaluan, in delivering one-stop government services to the residents.
In a statement, PBGEN DORIA emphasized that the initiative, which promoted the proactive implementation of the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) in the Municipality of Bongabong, is also part of PRO MIMAROPA’s commitment to bridging governance and development gaps in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas in the region.
“The safety and welfare of the community is our top priority here in MIMAROPA, and we will continue to do so by working together with our partners and stakeholders,” said PBGEN DORIA.
“This initiative is in line with the 5-focused agenda of the 29th Chief, PNP, PGEN BENJAMIN C ACORDA, JR, particularly on community engagement,” he added.
Different line agencies offered various services during the Serbisyo Caravan, including social services, agricultural services, registration services, seminar for traffic management, tilting and taxation, medical and health services, tax payment/cedula, issuance of updated MCR, free haircut, and feeding program.
The MIMAROPA top cop expressed his gratitude to PAGCOR and the Local Government of Bongabong for their support in extending basic government services to the community.
“We are grateful to PAGCOR and Bongabong LGU for partnering with us in this endeavor. This Serbisyo Caravan manifests our commitment in attaining inclusive and sustainable peace in the community.” PBGEN DORIA said
The event was also made possible through the assistance from the personnel of Bongabong MPS led by PMAJ ALMERC PAUL PORNIA, Chief of Police; Provincial Community Affairs Development Office, ORMIN PPO led by PLTCOL JOEL G PANINGBATAN, Chief, PCADU; and SAF 105th SAC under 10SAB headed by PLTCOL JINKIE B TUGUIC, 10SAB Battalion Commander.
