Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – The Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, under the leadership of PBGEN ROGER L QUESADA, Regional Director, apprehended a total of forty-five (45) law violators during the conduct of seven days regionwide anti-crime operations highlighting the intensified campaign against wanted persons, campaign against anti-illegal drugs, anti-illegal logging, and anti-illegal gambling activity on July 25 – 31, 2024.
In the campaign against wanted persons, a total of forty (40) individuals were arrested, including thirteen (13) most wanted persons from the regional, provincial, and municipal levels.
Likewise, about four (4) drug personalities were apprehended during the conduct of three (3) separate anti-illegal drug operations and the confiscation of approximately 1,004.22 grams of shabu with an estimated value amounting to PhP6,828,702.80.
In addition, the operation against illegal logging has recorded a total of 1,000 board feet of confiscated logs with an estimated value of PhP50,000.00.
Furthermore, the authorities were able to arrest an individual and confiscate PhP1,644.00 bet money during anti-illegal gambling operation.
All arrested suspects and recovered evidence were brought to the respective units/police stations for further investigation, documentation, and proper disposition.
Meanwhile, the data from the Regional Investigation and Detection Management Division recorded a 60.22% decline in the region’s crime volume with 37 crime incidents recorded from July 25-31, 2024 compared to 93 in the same period last year.
