CALATRAVA MPS- On June 15, 2023 at about 2:40 PM –4:00 PM, personnel of this office led by PCPT NANETTE H PABLICO, OIC, along with the students of Romblon State University (RSU) headed by Mr.Edgar Fadallan, students and teachers of Victorio Sixon Calatrava National High School, LGU Employees and Job Orders,MDRRMO led by Mr. John Arvill F Rabino, Bureau of Fire Protection led by SFO3 Gadon, Philippine Coastguard personnel, Philippine Army headed by Master Sgt.Rodolfo Goyha, Reservist led by Master Sgt Efren Bautista-Acting Deputy Commander of Alpha Company, Philippine Guardians Brotherhood Inc- PGBI Calatrava Chapter led by Mr. Russel Fetalino- representative, CYTRAVA Bikers led by Mr. Carlo Capa Fetalvero, Tau Gamma Phi (Triskelion- Calatrava Chapter) Triskelion De Calatrava led by Mr. John Paul Manzalay-Local Founder, Mr. Napoleon Moscoso Jr,- Barangay Kagawad(Pagsangahan), Mrs. Charito Rabino-Barangay Kagawad(Poblacion), Barangay Officials of Balogo headed by Hon.Juliet M Sixon- Brgy Chairman, Mr. Joven Casimero- Bantay Dagat, Women Sector led by Mrs.Mayonette Silvestre, our Community Advisers Pastor Terry Forio of Good News Church and Pastor Nestor Edma of Four Square Church, KKDAT Members, Sangguniang Kabataan members, and other stakeholders and volunteers, conducted Province-Wide Simultaneous Tree/Mangrove Planting Activity with the theme: “Plant Trees, Save Lives” held at Coastal Area of Brgy. Balogo, Calatrava, Romblon.

Five thousand five hundred (5,500) mangrove propagules were planted by more or less two hundred (200) participants in the said activity.

The Tree Planting Activity aims to raise awareness in society of the importance of planting and saving trees. Likewise, planting mangroves can reduce shoreline erosion and can protect the coast against flooding.
