Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – The PRO MIMAROPA under the leadership of PBGEN ROGER L QUESADA, arrested six (6) individuals allegedly involved in illegal gambling in Occidental Mindoro and Marinduque on Sunday, February 25, 2024.

Police reports revealed that personnel from San Jose Municipal Police Station arrested alias “Herbert” (35), alias “Freddie” (25), and alias “Jessie” (26), for their alleged involvement in illegal gambling activity (illegal cockfighting) in Brgy. San Roque, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro at around 11:58 AM.

The authorities confiscated one (1) piece of fighting cock, one (1) piece of gaff, PhP550.00 bet money and other related paraphernalia.

Furthermore, personnel from Buenavista Municipal Police Station, apprehended alias “Marilyn” (33), alias “Pilar” (65), and alias “Cecilia” (60), for their alleged involvement in illegal gambling activity (card game ‘tong-its’) in Sitio Cabuyao, Brgy. Daykitin, Buenavista, Marinduque.

Confiscated from the suspects’ possession were one (1) set of playing cards, PhP215.00 bet money, and other related paraphernalia.

The arrested suspects are now under police custody pending the filing of charges for the violation of Presidential Decree No. 1602.
